Pottstown Memorial Day Parade

by John Garczynski & Ed Linder

On Monday, May 30, Ed Linder and John Garczynski represented Red Cross Emergency Services in the annual Pottstown Memorial Day parade. It was a wonderful day for a parade, as evidenced by the numbers of people lining the roughly one mile route along High Street. The hundreds of adults accompanied by their children were not disappointed as they watched and joined the dozens of parade organizations pay tribute to our country's heroes both living and deceased.

The Red Cross was very well received. Positioned near the front of the processional, the passenger van borrowed from the Eastern Montgomery team was greeted with a host of friendly smiles, waves, and cheers from onlookers recognizing the work the Red Cross has done in the Pottstown community and throughout the five-county region. It was a terrific opportunity to represent the Red Cross at a worthwhile event.
